Should we sacrifice truth for politics? Should we sacrifice politics for truth? As important as a truly democratic system is, it still does not override the need for truth. When a Member of Parliament Larry Spencer made comments about homosexuality they were torn out of context and mischaracterized by hundreds of media reports.

Finally, Larry has an opportunity to tell his side of the story and to clarify some of the facts, simply because the Party imposed gag-order no longer applies to him.

Reading this personal story gives a tiny peephole through which the reader can see that values such as Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Democracy and even a personal belief in the Truth have all been deprecated in this post-modern era. His story testifies to the fact that even if you have to go through a storm by choosing truth over politics, there is life after the storm.
